Star Trek was ... entertaining. Uhura (sp) is beautiful and engaging in this flick. 'Bones' is believable! As well as the young Spock! Alias, no overpriced popcorn or drinks for me. But Long Suffering Spouse and I saw it (also at the earliest show possible) and I was pleasantly surprised. It was actually pretty good. The best part was that Younger Daughter's current boyfriend fancies himself something of a Trekkie... and he was <i>very</i> impressed that Younger Daughter appeared to know a fair bit about Star Trek. She didn't have the heart to tell him that she learned about it involuntarily, stuck at home with her geezer parents. And the look on her face... when I heard that the latest flame was a Trekkie, I suggested we double date... that look of <i>total horror</i>.... Yes, my bride chastised me for being so cruel....
